Conservation Law Foundation's (CLF) Commitment To Privacy 

Your privacy is important to CLF. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.   

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on CLF's Web sites (http://www.clf.org/ and http://www.clfventures.org/).

Anonymous Information: When you visit any of CLF's Web sites to read or download information, we collect and store only the following information: the name of the domain from which you accessed the Internet; the date and time you accessed our Web site; and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our Web site. None of this information can be used to personally identify you. 

Personally Identifiable Information: The only personally identifiable information CLF collects is information you provide to CLF when you “fill out” one of the forms on our Web sites. You may use these forms to make contributions to CLF, to become a CLF member, to request information, to apply to become a volunteer or intern, or to sign up to receive our e-Newsletter or register to attend an event. The types of personal information CLF collects vary by form and may include your name, post office address, e-mail address, phone number, credit/debit card information and answers to survey questions. 

How We Use Information

• CLF uses the anonymous information it collects to gauge Web site traffic, determine its most popular pages, and evaluate its Web site.
• CLF does not share, distribute or sell e-mail addresses or other personally identifiable information.
• If you use our Web site to sign up for a CLF-sponsored event, to request information, to make a contribution or to become a member of CLF, you will receive our e-Newsletters (usually sent on the first Thursday of each month), special messages, announcements and action alerts. In addition, you and all subscribers to the e-Newsletter may be contacted in connection with our on-line fund raising campaigns.
• You can opt out of CLF e-mail communications at any time. Each e-mail CLF sends will indicate how to unsubscribe from the list via e-mail or via a Web page.

Third-Party Access to Personally Identifiable Information

CLF provides personally identifiable information to its Web site service provider, Convio, Inc., on a strictly confidential basis to enable Convio to maintain a membership database, send e-mail messages and provide other Web site-related services for CLF.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, CLF has put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We store your personally identifiable information on secure servers. Our third-party vendors accept credit card donations only via a secure server and are Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant. 

Accessing Your Personal Information

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections. CLF and "Cookies"

CLF's Web sites do not read, place or accept cookies.  

Changes in Our Privacy Policy

Should our practices change, this notice will be immediately updated. Regardless of later updates, we will never use the information you submit under this current notice in a new way (in a way not described in this notice) without first providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prevent that use.
